The Kalimba, also referred to as the African Thumb Piano, is a traditional African instrument with a rich history. It has various other names such as mbira, ikembe, likembe, sanza, sansa, marimba, and marimbula. In Western countries, it is sometimes known as a finger harp or gourd piano.

The accompanying app provides users with an authentic Kalimba experience on their mobile devices. The app can be used in landscape mode on either side, enhancing convenience and ease of use.

The instrument features seven prongs that allow for pressing multiple prongs simultaneously, enabling users to create a harmonious and melodic sound. Additionally, the app offers the option to strum, further expanding the creative possibilities.

One notable feature of the app is the ability to change the tuning between C Major and G Major directly from the main screen. This allows users to adapt the instrument according to their musical preferences or specific requirements.
